Conclusion
As Christians we are
called to live by faith, not by what we see.
If we live by what
we see, then when we see someone who is crippled or dying our
response will be
to feel sorry for
them but not do anything to help them.
If we live by faith,
then our response should be one of action...
Faith demands
action.
Action demands
results.
The results will be
bodies healed, lives changed, and hearts turned to the Lord Jesus
Christ as people see the Kingdom of God advanced.
Habakkuk 2:4
Why is it important
to live by faith?
No matter how simple
the Gospel is -- it can do us no good until we respond to it in
faith.
Salvation
depends upon whether our faith is mind faith or heart faith. ...
There is a big difference.
Mind
faith is nothing more than an intellectual acceptance of facts.
It
is passive, requiring neither a supernatural experience nor a change
of lifestyle.
Heart
faith is active faith -- Faith that we are willing to stake our lives
on.
Heart
faith changes us from the inside out.
More
than mere acceptance of the facts of the Gospel, heart faith creates
in us a willingness to respond to and act on those facts.
Heart
faith is the only appropriate response to the Gospel message.
The
Gospel of Christ demands a personal response from each of us.
By
it's very nature, heart faith is deeply and distinctly personal.
